Sunderland 'eye quick resolution to Fabio Borini deal'

Sunderland reportedly want to complete a deal to sign Liverpool striker Fabio Borini in the next day despite the 23-year-old being on the Reds' pre-season tour of the US.

Sunderland are determined to seal the signing of Liverpool striker Fabio Borini within the next 24 hours, according to a report.

The Black Cats have agreed a fee of £14m with Brendan Rodgers's side for the forward, who spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light.

Borini has travelled with Liverpool for their pre-season tour of the US, but Gus Poyet is ready to meet with the player and his representatives to complete the deal, reports The Mirror.

The 23-year-old scored 10 goals in all competitions last season for Sunderland, including one in their League Cup final defeat to Manchester City.
