West Ham United could reportedly swoop for Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli this month.
The Italian joined the Merseysiders from AC Milan in 2014, but having struggled to find form and fitness on Merseyside, he was sent back to San Siro on a season-long loan agreement last summer.
However, his return to the Rossoneri has not gone according to plan, with injuries having limited the 25-year-old to just four Serie A appearances this term.
According to the Brentwood Gazette, the Hammers will still launch a £10m move for Balotelli, despite all of the controversy that has shrouded his career to date.
The report adds that boss Slaven Bilic has identified the frontman to ease the club's current injury problems up front, with both Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho sidelined.
It has been suggested that Nikica Jelavic will be sold to Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande to help fund the deal.
