West Ham United are reportedly set to rival Liverpool for the services of Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
The Hammers have struggled recently in the absence of number one stopper Lukasz Fabianski, losing six of their last eight Premier League games, with his replacement Roberto failing to impress.
While David Martin now appears to be Manuel Pellegrini's preferred option for covering Fabianski, Turkish outlet Aksam reports that the club may make a move for Cakir in the upcoming transfer window.
The 23-year-old established himself as Trabzonspor's first choice keeper last season following the retirement of Onur Kivrak and he has since been capped by Turkey twice.
The report indicates that Liverpool also remain interested in Cakir, seeing him as an ideal candidate to provide Alisson Becker with strong competition for the keeper's jersey.
