Video: Adam Morgan evokes Xabi Alonso memories

Watch a video clip of Liverpool youngster Adam Morgan scoring from just inside the opposition's half.

To score a goal from in and around the halfway line is something that not too many footballers can claim to have achieved during their careers. Many try, but few succeed.

It's also not something that you would expect a 19-year-old to attempt, but that didn't put off Liverpool youngster Adam Morgan, who scored from 50 yards out during an Under-21 match against Manchester City at Hyde last night.

For supporters of the Merseysiders, the England youth international's effort may well have brought back memories of Xabi Alonso, who scored twice from inside his own half during his five-year stint at Anfield.

Below is a video clip of Morgan's goal, accompanied by Alonso's efforts against Luton Town and Newcastle United.
