Lorient ease past Brest

Lorient score three goals in the first half to secure a comfortable 4-0 victory over Brest at home in Ligue 1.

Lorient have registered a comfortable 4-0 home win against Brest to enhance their chances of a top-three finish in Ligue 1 this season.

The hosts made the breakthrough as early as the third minute when Julien Quercia shot home from close range.

Five minutes later Yann Jouffre found the target from the centre of the Brest penalty box to double Lorient's advantage.

Lorient went 3-0 up six minutes before the half-time interval, Wesley Lautoa firing in with his left foot from outside the area.

Gilles Sunu added the icing on the cake with the fourth goal of the evening in the 61st minute, shooting home from the right side of the box after being set up by Mathias Autret.
