Reading defender Sean Long has extended his Luton Town loan spell until January 2.
The 20-year-old has appeared five times for the Hatters since initially joining last month, providing cover for the injured Stephen O'Donnell.
Long was a part of Luton's squad for the 2-0 win over Barnet at the weekend, but remained an unused substitute due to his exploits for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s in Lithuania the day before.
Speaking to the club's official website after agreeing fresh terms, Town boss John Still said: "He's settled in well and we don't want to push Stephen O'Donnell, who's had a double hernia and he's doing light training.
"[O'Donnell] is not out with us at the moment. He's coming on very well, but it was a no-brainer keeping Sean on, to be honest."
Luton have also confirmed that midfielder Isaac Galliford will remain at St Neots until the start of January, while defender Mark Onyemah has also extended his own spell at Dartford for the same duration of time.
