UPDATE: The winner of this match will face Viktoria Plzen following their win over Shakhtar Donetsk.
KICKOFF! Lyon get us underway in this Europa League clash.
A good chance for Lyon to threaten early on with a free kick down the left as Bedimo is brought down Leo Matos, right on the touchline. Grenier stands over the ball.
Grenier's ball into the box is cleared with ease, but Lacazette steals the ball from Zubeyko as he tries to clear. He whips the ball into the area again but Berger does well to read the danger for the visitors and clears the danger.
Chornomorets turn to put the pressure on with a set piece with a corner down the right. Bobko's corner is cleared by Bisevac and allows Miguel Lopes to break down the middle. The midfielder surges into the centre circle and goes down but the referee waves play on. A pass there would have cut the visitors wide open.
Scrappy start to the game by the home side as Gomis and then Malbranque concede free kicks after losing possession. The visitors haven't allowed Lyon to get into a rhythm as of yet, and are knocking the ball around nicely themselves at the moment.
Better from the home side as Gomis gets the ball deep in Chornomorets territory and he lays the ball back to Malbranque on the edge of the area. The midfielder decides to take the shot on, but his effort is blocked by Fontanello and cleared.
Lyon win a corner down the right and Grenier has two attempts to knock a cross into the area, both of which are turned behind. On the third attempt the midfielder finally gets it right and his cross sails to the back post to Bedimo, who shoots and his effort is deflected upwards but safely into the hands of Past.
Bedimo makes a casual clearance which allows Leo Matos to attack down the right and Bisevac covers and clears the ball behind for a corner. Fortunately for Bedimo, his error doesn't cost his side as the corner is cleared with ease by the home side.
YELLOW CARD! Zubeiko brings down Lacazette 25 yards from goal and presents Lyon with a good chance to threaten from a free kick. He is carded for his troubles as well by the referee.
SHOT! Grenier strikes the free kick and tries to make his effort bounce on the wet turf before it reaches Past, but the keeper manages to hold the ball on the second attempt to make the save.
Bedimo is again in trouble with Leo Matos down the right as he brings him down and the visitors win a free kick, about two feet from the corner flag. Another good chance to whip in a set piece.
CHANCE! Bobko whips the free kick in from the right and his cross sails towards the front post. Berger gets a head on the ball and he travels towards goal, then Gai tries to get a second head on it, but his effort goes inches wide of the post. That was close for the visitors.
Lyon haven't looked in rhythm so far, their passing game has been poor to say the least and Gomis hasn't had a touch. It's looking good from the visitors point of view at the moment.
The home side finally work the ball well as Grenier, Malbranque and Gomis all link up in a lovely triangular move. Malbranque tries to advance to the edge of the box but falls to the ground looking for a free kick, but the referee waves play on. Lacazette tries to whip a ball into the area from a tight angle from the byeline but his cross goes out of play. Better play from the home side, but Malbranque didn't need to go down there.
Lyon are seeing more of the ball in the last few minutes but are still lacking penetration in the final third of the pitch. Bedimo raided forward from the back trying to feed the ball into the path of Grenier in the box, but as he turned Berger won the ball with a good challenge and the visitors cleared again.
CHANCE! Fofana comes close for the home side as he wins the ball with a strong challenge in midfield. He takes a touch on to get to the edge of the box and fires an effort at goal, which goes just wide of the post. Much better intent from Lyon.
The tempo of the game has slowed again as the visitors are starting to see more of the ball. Their gameplan looks to be to draw this match out for as long as possible and hit Lyon on the break. It looks to be working so far.
Bobko gets the ball in midfield for Chornomorets and spots the run of Leo Matos over the top. The ball is perfect for the striker, who thinks he has timed his run to perfection and races through on goal, but the flag is up for offside. Replays suggest that he was onside.
CHANCE! Gai finds himself in all sorts of space behind the Lyon defence, Bisevac gets back to stop him having a clear run at goal but he still bares down and shoots from 20 yards. His effort though, is straight into the hands of Anthony Lopes. That was a chance for the visitors.
SHOT! Lyon work the ball well across the midfield and Ferri sees space to drive into. The midfielder fires a shot at goal which is struck with power, but is slightly off-target, as it goes wide of the post.
Bedimo continues to struggle defensively in this game, as this time he brings down Antonov outside the area. That gives Anderson Santana a chance to fire an effort at goal from about 25 yards.
Santana's free kick is struck well but is deflected over the bar from a corner. From the resulting set-piece, Kovalchuk decides to charge into Lopes and give Lyon a free kick. Not the best idea from the midfielder.
Another free kick down the right for the visitors and another foul for Bedimo. Anderson Santana stands over the ball again for Chornomorets.
CHANCE! Santana gets plenty of loft on his free kick and it sails towards the back post and looks to be creeping into the top corner, but Lopes sticks out a hand and manages to palm the ball away. A great athletic stop from the keeper.
HALF-TIME: Lyon 0-0 Chornomorets
Half time in the second leg of this Europa League clash. It's been tough going for both sides, who have struggled to carve out many clear cut opportunities. If any side was going to take the lead it would have been Chornomorets, who forced a good save from Lopes right before the break, while Gai also had a decent opportunity.
Garde will want to see a lot more urgency from his side after the break. They've looked ponderous in possession and out of ideas, when they get into the final third of the pitch. They could be in danger of going out of the competition if they don't improve in the second half.
We're back underway in this Europa League clash.
CHANCE! Dja Djedje raids down the left for the home side and whips a cross into the area. Leo Matos heads the ball into the path of Zubeyko driving forward from full back, he takes a touch and fires an effort at goal, but his shot sails well over the bar.
CHANCE! Lyon respond to the threat as Lacazette wins the ball in in the box of the visitors. He takes a touch onto his left foot and shoots at goal from a tight angle, but the shot is easily saved by Past. Better intensity from the home side.
Leo Matos pulls the strings for the visitors down the right and he crosses into the box for Gai. The forward then knocks the ball back into the path of Dja Djedje, who takes a shot but his effort gets deflected over the bar from the challenge of Ferri.
OFF THE POST! Chornomorets come so close to taking the lead as Berger hits the post with a header. From the resulting corner from Dja Djede's effort Bobko played a short corner and got the return, and whipped the ball into the box. The defender stooped low to get a head on the ball and his effort bounced and hit the woodwork and was hacked to safety.
Lyon go straight on the counter attack and the Bedimo races down the left and gets 30 yards from goal and shoots. His effort is a cross but misses the foot for Lacazette and goes just wide of the post. All that needed was a touch from the forward and that could have been a goal.
CHANCE! The home side work the ball down the right and it comes to Malbranque on the edge of the area. He weighs up his options and strikes the ball at goal, his effort looks to be heading just wide of the post but Past doesn't know that and he tips the ball behind for a corner.
Lacazette races into the box and tries to beat the challenge of Berger. He goes down in the penalty area and wants a spot kick, but the referee points for a goal kick much to the forward's frustration.
YELLOW CARD! Kovalchuk goes into the book for bringing down Umtiti as he tried to raid forward down the left. Lyon have a free kick 40 yards from goal which Grenier will take.
Grenier's free kick is cleared behind for a corner. Malbranque's first attempt at a cross is poor but he gets it back and hits an effort deep to the back post, where he finds Gomis. The striker heads at goal but his effort is wide of the target.
CHANCE! Lacazette finds space inside the box and he manages to find Gomis on the penalty spot, the striker shoots first time but his effort is well blocked by Berger, who diverts the ball over the bar.
The home side are doing all the pressing at the moment and have complete control of the game. The visitors have barely had a kick in the last 10 minutes or so. Can they ride out this wave of pressure from Lyon?
The efforts of the last few minutes seem to be taking their toil on Chornomorets as a few fouls are starting to occur as Gomis is brought down by Fontanello.
YELLOW CARD! Grenier isn't happy with the challenge and says too much to the referee and gets himself book. Not a wise move from the midfielder.
RED CARD! Disaster for the visitors as they are reduced to 10 men as Zubeyko is sent off for a second bookable offence. He left his foot in on Fofana as the midfielder tried to break down the left and is rightly given his marching orders. An uphill task for Chornomorets now.
CHANCE! Santana almost hands the visitors the lead despite their disadvantage in players on the pitch. He gets the ball down the left and strikes his shot first time and it looks to be creeping over the head of Lopes but he manages to get a fingertip to the ball to turn it over the bar.
GOAL! Lyon 1-0 Chornomorets (Lacazette)
Lyon take the lead and it's a spectacular goal from Lacazette. Grenier breaks through the middle and feeds the ball to the forward down the left, he takes a touch down the line and cuts inside into the box. He fakes a shot, then cuts inside again beating two men before firing his effort into the top corner. A great goal.
The sending off left a few gaps at the back for the visitors which they couldn't close and Lacazette took full advantage there. That goal could be the strike that sends his side through to the last-16 of the competition.
SHOT! Chornomorets try to respond and Antonov has an effort at goal from inside the box, but his shot is well held by Lopes, who takes the pace out of the game by holding the ball.
SUBSTITUTIONS: Malbranque and Lacazette make way for Lyon for Tolisso and Kone, while Didenko comes on for Kovalchuk for Chornomorets.
Lyon win a free kick and a chance to kill the game off as Grenier stands over the ball down the right. His delivery though is poor and the visitors clear and try to break upfield.
Okriashvili comes on for Gai and is immediately involved as he gets the ball inside the area, Ferri tries to win the ball from him and the striker goes down. The ball goes out over the byeline and there's anxious moment for the home side, but the referee points for a goal kick.
There will be three minutes of added time.
There's one last surge forward for the visitors as Santana breaks down the left. He has three men to hit in the area and crosses deep, but Lopes comes out to claim the ball and that should seal his side's place in the next round of the competition.
FULL-TIME: Lyon 1-0 Chornomorets
Lyon advance to the last 16 of the Europa League as this tie is decided by a single goal from Alexandre Lacazette. His strike after 80 minutes was worthy of deciding any match, so Remi Garde's side will rightfully take their place in the next round. They upped the ante after the break and found their form, as well as benefitting from seeing the visitors reduced to 10 men. Lyon will now face Viktoria Plzen in the last 16.
Chornomorets had their moments, but were unable to take the chances on offer especially in the first half. They may have a few regrets about this game especially Zubeyko's sending off. In the end Lyon just had that little bit more quality when they needed it.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
