Lyon edge out Nantes

Lyon squeeze past Nantes 2-1 in Ligue 1.

Lyon have beaten Nantes 2-1 in Ligue 1 this afternoon.

Goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Bafetimbi Gomis were enough for the visitors, who moved up to seventh in the table with the win.

Lacazette scored five minutes before half time when his low drive found the bottom corner.

Gomis added the second from the penalty spot on 76 minutes after Lacazette was brought down inside the area.

Filip Djordjevic scored with four minutes remaining to give the home side hope of a draw, but OL held on to take all three points, as the Nantes goalscorer saw red in the closing stages.
