Alexandre Lacazette has agreed to a new two-year contract with Lyon, the club's chairman confirmed on Tuesday.
The French forward was repeatedly linked with a transfer throughout the summer window, with Newcastle United rumoured to be interested in his services, but his wish to remain at the club has been granted with a new deal.
"Yoann Gourcuff has agreed to reduce his salary for the season and we have extended the contract of Alexandre Lacazette by two years," Jean-Michel Aulas revealed to reporters.
Lacazette, who has already scored three goals this season, has now committed his future to the club until 2018.
