Ukraine have scored late on to earn a 1-0 half-time lead over Macedonia in tonight's Euro 2016 qualifier in Kiev.
The Ukrainians looked in control during the opening stages, and they came close to making the breakthrough on 14 minutes when Yevhen Konoplyanka's effort was kept out by goalkeeper Tome Pacovski.
Konoplyanka tried his luck again five minutes later, but this time his drive flew high over the crossbar as the hosts threatened to make the breakthrough.
Macedonia struggled to create chances during the opening 45 minutes, though they almost found a way through the hosts as Adis Jahovic had his shot saved by Andriy Pyatov midway through the half.
Despite that opportunity, Ukraine should have taken the lead with 36 minutes played as Andriy Yarmolenko shook off his marker to head over from six yards out.
However, the home side finally opened the scoring in stoppage time when Sergiy Sydorchuk fired in after being picked out inside the box by Yarmolenko.
