Damien Perquis suffers fractured jaw

Real Betis confirm that defender Damien Perquis suffered a fractured jaw in their 3-2 defeat to Malaga on Sunday.

Real Betis have confirmed that defender Damien Perquis suffered a fractured jaw in their 3-2 defeat to Malaga on Sunday evening.

The 29-year-old was forced off in the second period of the La Liga clash after colliding with Malaga's Fabrice Olinga when challenging for a loose ball.

The Pole was later taken to hospital, where the damage was revealed, but it is believed that he will undergo further examinations in Seville this afternoon.

The defeat left Betis in 18th position in the table, having taken just nine points from their 12 league matches this season.
