Malaga ease past Rayo Vallecano

Malaga pick up a third consecutive win in La Liga thanks to a comfortable 4-0 victory at home to Rayo Vallecano.

Malaga have recorded a third consecutive win in La Liga with a comfortable 4-0 victory at home to Rayo Vallecano.

The hosts made the breakthrough with just six minutes on the clock when Samu cut inside before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.

Their lead was doubled on 21 minutes as Sergi Darder tapped in Vitorino Antunes's cross, while Juanmi made it 3-0 on the stroke of half time with a dinked finish over the goalkeeper.

Malaga then added to their tally from the penalty spot early in the second half when Nordin Amrabat slotted in following a foul on Samu.
