Pablo Perez has revealed that he cannot wait to begin training with his new teammates after joining Malaga from Newell's Old Boys.
The 28-year-old is still waiting for his European citizenship paperwork, but has completed a medical and is due to officially link up with the La Liga side later this week.
"We're in Malaga, which is beautiful. I'm awaiting the final decision so I can join training with my new teammates. I'm very anxious to get to know my teammates and to begin playing in this prestigious league with these great players," he said in an interview with Argentina's 'Zapping Sport' programme on Radio 2.
"I've had time to go out and look at the beach, which is lovely. I'm waiting for my family to meet me so I can share everything with them. This is what I've been fighting for since I started playing football. It's because of Newell's that I am where I am today.
"I've gone through some difficult times, but these last two years have been absolutely spectacular. One day I'd love to return to Newell's and I know I will return. Today I'm one more fan of Newell's and from here I'm going to encourage my ex-teammates to play well and keep pushing Newell's to new heights."
Malaga have already filled their quota of foreign players for this season.
