Malaga have reportedly joined the race to sign Real Betis forward Ruben Castro this summer.
The Spaniard has had an injury-plagued season, but is regarded as one of the most talented strikers in La Liga having scored 71 league goals in 135 games for Betis since joining in 2010.
A number of Spanish sides have been linked with a move, but according to Estadio Deportivo, Malaga sporting director Mario Husillos has identified the 32-year-old as a top target.
It is understood that Betis, who finished bottom of La Liga in the 2013-14 season and will therefore play Segunda football next season, want in the region of £2m for the experienced forward.
Meanwhile, the same report has claimed that Castro is seeking in the region of £810,000-a-season as well as a three-year deal.
