Andres Iniesta: 'We will beat Manchester City'

Andres Iniesta insists that Barcelona will overcome Manchester City in their last-16 Champions League clash.

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has insisted that the Spanish champions will overcome Manchester City in their last-16 Champions League clash.

City have been in impressive form in the Premier League this season, but the Spanish midfielder is confident that the Catalan outfit will progress into the last eight.

"They seem to be able to score 4 or 5 goals with ease past teams - and not just any teams - but some of the best teams in England. They have strength in attack and all over the field - but they won't score 4 or 5 against us," Iniesta told reporters at a press conference.

"We know we have two very tough games coming up against them - but at the same time we will be a challenge for them like they haven't experienced this season.

"We will need to be at our best - but there is a real confidence in Barcelona that this can be a season where we can win silverware at all levels."

Iniesta has won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2009 and 2011.
