Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi has told his players to be "proud" despite losing 1-0 in the Champions League final to Manchester City.
The Italian side went into the final as the underdogs, but they managed to negate Man City's threat for the majority of the contest.
However, their resolve was broken in the 68th minute when Rodri guided the ball past Andre Onana in the Inter goal.
Inter went close to finding an equaliser through Federico Dimarco, who saw his effort blocked by his teammate Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international nearly made amends in the closing stages, but his downward header was kept out by Ederson at point-blank range.

After winning his previous seven finals as a manager, Inzaghi's impressive run came to an end as Man City lifted the Champions League trophy for the first time in their history.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, the Inter boss insisted that his players should be "proud" of their efforts.
"I congratulated the players," Inzaghi said. "They were great, they played a great game. We lost a final that we wanted to win at all costs, but they must be proud.
"I wouldn't trade these players for anyone and today the whole world saw why. We conceded little against a very strong team. We have many regrets, but we must be proud."
"It's normal to have regrets. Losing is the worst thing in sport. At the same time, the players need to be proud of the season and the performance in the final.

"I would like to hug every single one of the Inter fans, just like my players. They are fantastic - they are always there for us.
"This is football - it's from these disappointments that you grow. I'm still wondering how it's possible that we didn't score at the end. We clearly deserved more.
"This final could be the fuel to try again next season. The team demonstrated they can play at this level. We had plenty of chances at the end, we deserved more. This was our game plan and we could have done even better."
Despite falling short in the final, Inter can still look back on the 2022-23 campaign with fond memories after winning the Italian Super Cup and the Coppa Italia.
They also finished the Serie A season in third place, ensuring that they will be involved in the Champions League next term.
