Paris Saint-Germain have suffered an injury scare with striker Kylian Mbappe ahead of their Champions League semi-final first leg with Manchester City.
The former Monaco man featured from the first whistle in Saturday's Ligue 1 battle with Metz - notching up a brace as Mauricio Pochettino's side rose to the summit with a 3-1 victory.
However, Mbappe was forced off on the 87-minute mark after taking a blow to the leg, and the 22-year-old was seen limping off the field, sparking fears that he may not be able to participate in Wednesday's game at the Parc des Princes.
While Mbappe will need to prove his fitness, Pochettino remained optimistic, telling Canal +: "We think he's okay and that he'll be ready for Wednesday. We reviewed the action, we see the blow. We are not worried about him."
Mbappe's brace against Les Grenats took him up to 37 goals for the season across all competitions - 25 of those in Ligue 1 - and PSG sporting director Leonardo is optimistic over a new deal for the forward.
