Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery said that he was at a loss to explain Manchester City's comeback in their 3-2 loss on Tuesday evening.
The European Champions were two goals up inside 12 minutes at the Allianz Arena, before City fought back with goals from David Silva, Aleksandar Kolarov and James Milner.
"I honestly do not know what happened," Ribery told BeIn Sport.
"We started well in the game, but after that we took this team lightly. There was a loosening up and ultimately the game is lost.
"We are pleased with first place [in the group], but upset regarding the result. We made a lot of mistakes due to our lack of concentration. We hope to respond this weekend."
Despite the defeat, Bayern qualified at the top of Group D on goal difference.
