Hart: 'I have moved on from Euro 2016'

Torino and England goalkeeper Joe Hart insists that he has "moved on" from a disappointing summer that saw him make mistakes at Euro 2016 and depart Manchester City.

Torino and England goalkeeper Joe Hart has insisted that he has "moved on" from his performances at Euro 2016.

The 29-year-old was heavily criticised after mistakes against Wales and Iceland contributed to England's early exit from the tournament in France, while his summer went from bad to worse upon his return to Manchester City when he was turfed out on loan by Pep Guardiola.

However, Hart gave a reminder of his ability with a memorable performance for England against Slovenia on Tuesday, and he is keen to look ahead rather than dwell on recent disappointments.

"The summer was difficult. I am gutted about how it went, but it has gone now. Football moves quickly. I've done the same when I've won leagues. You have got to move on. And you have got to keep fighting," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"I will continue to keep fighting for my country. I cherish every moment I play and long may that continue. I would have loved to have saved the two shots [against Wales and Iceland] that I should have saved, but they are gone. I have moved on. I am going to try and rectify that by being in a good place.

"As a goalkeeper, you can't chase situations. Saturday against Malta, I didn't have anything to do. Against Slovenia, I did. You have got to let the ball come to you as a keeper. I am trying to grow and I am trying to improve every single day."

Hart has conceded just three goals in five Serie A appearances for Torino so far this season.
