Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has hailed his side's "mature performance" after their 6-1 aggregate victory over Porto in the last 32 of the Europa League.
A 4-0 win on the night at the Etihad Stadium was enough to knock the holders out of the competition.
"It was a great victory. Today showed how serious we are about this competition," Kompany told ESPN. "Four-nil is a great result against the holders of the competition. I didn't think we were at our best but we did what we needed to do. It was a very mature performance."
City continue domestic duties on Saturday when they host struggling Blackburn Rovers.
