Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has been forced to withdraw in the opening minutes of his side's Europa League tie against Sporting Lisbon through injury.

Joleon Lescott was brought on to replace the 25-year-old.
Kompany was ruled out for a week in early February with a knee injury.
