Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is hopeful that Yaya and Kolo Toure will be available for his side's Europa League tie with Porto on Thursday.
The brothers are away on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ivory Coast and are currently preparing for Sunday's final against Zambia.
"I spoke to Yaya this week and he is tired because of the number of games he has played for Ivory Coast," Mancini told the Sunday Mirror.
"But he is an important player for us and hopefully he can recover after winning the African Nations and be ready for Thursday.
"I will play a strong team against Porto. We want to win the Europa League because it is an important trophy."
City are among the favourites for the tournament after being knocked out in the group stages of their maiden Champions League season.
