Manchester City have one foot in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-0 half-time lead over Leeds United at the Etihad Stadium.
The Premier League champions began this afternoon's tie brightly and broke the deadlock with just five minutes on the clock. David Silva and Carlos Tevez linked on the edge of the area to free Yaya Toure, who in turn rounded Jamie Ashdown before sending the ball into the net from close range.

More City pressure followed and their advantage was doubled 10 minutes later courtesy of Sergio Aguero, who won a penalty when he was fouled by Tom Lees inside the area. The Argentine regained his feet to send the resultant kick into the roof of the net.
Roberto Mancini's side would have had a third with 31 minutes played, but Ashdown managed to tip Toure's looping header over the crossbar.

In the closing stages of the half full-back Aleksandar Kolarov had an opportunity to make it 3-0, but he only succeeded in heading Javi Garcia's deep cross wide of the target.
City last won the tournament back in 2011 when they overcame Stoke City 1-0 in the final.
