Man City injury, suspension list and return dates vs. Everton: Rodri, Ruben Dias latest

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Everton on Boxing Day.

Manchester City will be aiming to avoid four straight defeats across all competitions when they welcome Everton to the Etihad in the Premier League on Boxing Day.

Supporters of the Citizens have been given little reason for festive cheer from their downbeat heroes so far in December, with a victory over Nottingham Forest on December 4 representing the only success of the month to date.

Aston Villa were the latest side to take advantage of the English champions' lack of form, with goals from Jhon Duran and Morgan Rodgers doing the damage in the Second City on Saturday afternoon.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Everton, who have have played out back-to-back goalless draws recently.

Rodri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Man City are battling on without the services of Rodri, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury in September, although there is hope that the Euro 2024-winning Spaniard could play a part for the Citizens during their FIFA Club World Cup campaign next summer.

Oscar Bobb

Status: Out
Type of injury: Leg fracture
Possible return date: February 2 (vs. Arsenal)

Bobb sustained a leg fracture during a training session in August, with Guardiola stating in October that the Norwegian youngster is targeting a return to action at some point during January or February.

Ruben Dias

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Salford City)

Dias battled on during the final 15 minutes of the Manchester derby despite straining a muscle, with Guardiola revealing on December 20 that the defender would be sidelined for three to four weeks, ruling him out of the remainder of the festive schedule.

John Stones

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Everton)

Stones started the defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon but was forced off during the half-time interval with a recurrence of an ankle injury that has left him sidelined for sizeable chunks of the campaign so far.

Matheus Nunes

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Everton)

Nunes missed the damaging defeat at Villa Park with a knock, and facing a tight turnaround to the Boxing Day clash with Everton, the midfielder is a doubt once again.

Ederson

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Everton)

Stefan Ortega started in between the sticks for Man City last time out in the absence of Ederson, who is a slight doubt for the Everton match due to the issue.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no suspension issues for their Boxing Day battle with Sean Dyche's Everton.
