Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has revealed that the surgery on his injured knee was a success.
The 26-year-old tore his cruciate ligament during his side's recent 2-0 win over Watford and is expected to miss the rest of the season as a result.
However, Gundogan insists that he is "doing well" and vowed to return stronger next season having gone under the knife earlier today.
Hi guys! I'm doing well and today's surgery went fine. Now it's another road to recovery 🙏#ComebackStronger - mode: 🔛 pic.twitter.com/CDuAR091cz
