Stevan Jovetic, Fernando ruled out for Manchester City

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini reveals that Fernando and Stevan Jovetic won't feature against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that striker Stevan Jovetic will miss his side's game at Arsenal through injury.

Jovetic picked up a hamstring problem while on international duty with Montenegro, but despite returning to Manchester for treatment, he hasn't recovered ahead of the match at the Emirates Stadium.

Pellegrini has also stated that summer signing Fernando will be absent from his squad after the Brazilian was ruled out for two weeks after coming off injured against Stoke City before the international break.

However, there was good news regarding Frank Lampard, Eliaquim Mangala and Pablo Zabaleta, who have all been declared fit for the trip to North London.
