Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has said that the club will assess Sergio Aguero tomorrow after the striker picked up a knock to the heel in his side's 3-1 victory over Southampton this afternoon.
The 27-year-old was brought off on 65 minutes with City holding a 2-1 lead, but the former Real Madrid coach has played down the significance of the substitution.
"Sergio was in pain, but we will see tomorrow," Pellegrini told reporters after the game.
"Kun came off as a precaution. I spoke with him before the game and we said he would play 65 minutes. He has a kick in his heel, but nothing important.
"He has played three games in a row and that's why he came off – it's important to see with the medical staff how he recovers from this game."
Pellegrini's side - who moved to the top of the Premier League with today's victory - will take on Hull City in the League Cup on Tuesday evening.
