The summer transfer window has now closed, with Manchester City having again focused on bolstering their defence first and foremost.
Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias arrived for a combined sum of more than £100m, while Ferran Torres was another notable signing. Attention will now switch to the January window as Pep Guardiola's side attempt to win back the Premier League title.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Etihad.
Wednesday morning's Manchester City transfer talk news roundup:
Barcelona 'eye Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar as Lionel Messi replacement'
Barcelona will reportedly look to bring Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar back to the club if Lionel Messi does indeed depart in the near future.
Neymar was tipped to complete a sensational switch back to Camp Nou over the summer, but with cash-strapped Barcelona heavily restricted with their spending, the Brazilian forward remained at the Parc des Princes.
PSG's sporting director Leonardo has since confirmed that talks are underway regarding a new contract for Neymar, who is currently tied down to the French champions until 2022.
However, according to Sport, PSG will still consider selling Neymar for the right price if they cannot agree a new deal with the 28-year-old, and the former Barcelona man is tempted to move back to Catalonia.
Should PSG and Neymar fail to come to an agreement over an extension, the report claims that the French giants will entertain offers of €100m (£89.8m) for the Brazil international, who has amassed 72 goals in 89 games for PSG since his record-breaking €222m (£199.2m) move to the French capital.
As for Messi, the Argentine's future reportedly hinges on Barca's new president and the plans going forward at Camp Nou, with talk of a transfer to Manchester City heating up once more.
Manchester City 'want to bring Sergio Ramos to Etihad Stadium'
Manchester City are reportedly keen to sign Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old's existing deal at the Bernabeu is due to expire next summer, and as it stands, he would be free to agree a pre-contract with a foreign club at the start of 2021.
Madrid will allegedly make a statement on the central defender's future on Monday, and it has been suggested that an extension for the Spain international will be announced.
However, the speculation surrounding Ramos's future has not stopped, with both Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain said to be keeping a close eye on developments.
According to Argentinean journalist Gustavo Yarroch, City have also identified the former Sevilla youngster as a potential signing and want to bring him to the Premier League on a free transfer.
Ramos, who missed two penalties in Spain's 1-1 draw with Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday night, recently scored his 100th goal for Los Blancos.
