Sergio Aguero "eager" for new Premier League season

A tweet from Sergio Aguero suggests that the Argentine will be fit for Manchester City's opening Premier League game of the season.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has revealed that he cannot wait for the new Premier League season to start.

The Argentine's manager, Manuel Pellegrini, recently hinted that due to his World Cup commitments, Aguero may miss his side's opening game of the campaign against Newcastle United on Sunday, August 17.

However, the 26-year-old has indicated that he will be ready for the clash against the Magpies by tweeting: "Already in Manchester to meet my team-mates once more and eager to start a new @MCFC season!"

Aguero scored 28 goals in all competitions for the champions last season.
