Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli will be questioned by Italian police after he was given a tour of a notorious area in Naples by two known gangsters.

Italian police are set to question Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli after he was spotted in a notorious mafia hot spot.

Two known 'Camorra' gangsters reportedly showed Italian striker Balotelli around Scampia, Naples — the backdrop to mob movie Gomorrah.

Balotelli, 20 - who is not suspected of any wrongdoing - will be questioned on September 15.

He said yesterday: "There is nothing to worry about. I am calm.

"I had no idea who the people were showing me around. I just wanted to see what it was like as I had seen it in Gomorrah."

Napoli's Argentinian forward Ezequiel Lavezzi will also be questioned about his involvement in a fight in the Posillipo area in December 2010 in which an alleged member of the Camorra was also involved.
