Kevin De Bruyne: 'Manchester City win more important than performance'

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne insists that the team's performance in their win over Swansea City "doesn't matter".

Kevin De Bruyne has insisted that it "doesn't matter" how Manchester City beat Swansea City in the Premier League.

Manuel Pellegrini's side led for much of the match before conceding late on, but Kelechi Iheanacho restored their advantage in stoppage time to secure a 2-1 win.

The midfielder told the Manchester Evening News: "It doesn't matter. We won, that's it. Obviously you also need to win the hard games. Afterwards nobody will speak about it. It wasn't the best performance but now nobody cares, to be honest.

"To concede in the 90th minute, it's obviously difficult but luckily for us we scored the goal and that is the most important thing.

"They scored a good goal for them. Then you know you need to try something and the shot went in. Obviously it's an important three points for us."

The result moved Man City back to the top of the table, although Arsenal and Leicester City both have games in hand.
