Pep Guardiola delighted with "amazing" attacking players

Pep Guardiola insists that he is happy to continue relying on Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus to score regularly for Man City, amid ongoing links with Alexis Sanchez.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has suggested that he is not in the market for any more attacking players as he already has a number of "amazing" options to choose from.

The Citizens, heavily linked with Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez this summer, often failed to make the most of their chances in front of goal in tight matches last term.

Guardiola's men still managed to net 80 times across the duration of the Premier League campaign, though, and the Catalan coach is more than happy to continue calling upon the likes of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus for the 2017-18 season.

"I have enough good players up front," he told reporters. "[They should] just relax and score goals - that's all. I have two amazing strikers, two number nines, Gabriel and Sergio, but I have others who can score a lot of goals.

"Leroy [Sane] scored goals last season and Kevin De Bruyne is a guy who scores 15 goals [a season]."

City, who were made to work hard for their 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on the opening weekend, return to action on Monday night with a home match against Everton.
