Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that it is an "honour" to have Sergio Aguero at the club following his brace in the club's 4-1 FA Cup win over Burnley.
Aguero scored twice in as many minutes to give Guardiola's side the lead after Ashley Barnes had opened the scoring for the Clarets, before Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva put the gloss on the win.
Guardiola, whose team ensured their safe passage into the fourth round, had high praise for Argentine Aguero.
"Both of Sergio Aguero's goals were amazing, there were clever and quick and I am happy with both of his goals," the Spaniard told reporters. "It's an honour for me to have Aguero under my command.
"The quality he has is amazing and we need him to score a lot of goals. Aguero is the kind of player that in a matter of seconds can score two goals. He is an essential player for us.
Guardiola also hailed David Silva's performance at the Etihad.
"David Silva is a legend for the club for what he has done," he said. "I am happy for him to have made his statement and it is not easy for him to travel to Spain and England back and forth.
"But we are happy because everyone is playing well. And for today."
City's next challenge is an EFL Cup semi-final meeting with Bristol City on Tuesday, before the club travel to Anfield to face Liverpool in the Premier League.
