Sources close to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola deny that the Spaniard has agreed to take charge of Juventus, according to a report.

Sources close to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola have reportedly denied that the Spaniard will be taking charge of Italian champions Juventus at the end of the season.

On Friday, it was reported that Guardiola had 'verbally agreed' to take control of Juve this summer, with the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss set to pen a four-year contract in Turin.

However, according to the London Evening Standard, sources close to Guardiola have insisted that there is no truth in the links with the Old Lady.

The Spaniard has been in charge of City since 2016, leading the club to one Premier League title and two FA Cups, while they are chasing a quadruple this season.

Massimiliano Allegri has been Juve's head coach since 2014, winning four Serie A crowns, four Coppa Italia trophies and two Supercoppa Italiana titles since arriving in Turin.

However, the 51-year-old's mentor, Giovanni Galeone, recently claimed that the Italian could walk away from his position at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Guardiola will see his current contract with City expire in the summer of 2021.
