Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has suggested that the first-team squad at the Etihad Stadium are still adapting to the new approach introduced by Pep Guardiola.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach has replaced Manuel Pellegrini, and Iheanacho has acknowledged that he and his teammates must quickly buy into the philosophy of the Spaniard as they prepare for the new season.
The 19-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Guardiola is a good manager, everyone knows that. He's bringing fresh thoughts and his own style.
"Everything is different and everyone is adapting to what he's teaching us. We need to understand what he's telling us and what he wants to bring to the team."
Iheanacho is expected to remain a part of the first-team squad after netting 14 times in 35 appearances last season.
