Joleon Lescott insists that Manchester City will battle for the Premier League title until the end of the season.

Joleon Lescott has insisted that nobody at Manchester City will give up their pursuit of the Premier League title.

Yesterday's 1-0 defeat away at Arsenal has left City trailing leaders and rivals Manchester United by eight points.

However, England international Lescott has revealed that the City squad will continue to give it their all between now and the end of the season.

"It's out of our hands but we've got to keep going and if United slip up then we've got to be there to capitalise," Lescott told the Manchester Evening News.

"We're professional and we owe it to the fans that we're not going to roll over and die. We've got to apply ourselves in the right way in every game."

City take on West Bromwich Albion tomorrow night.
