Malaga owner Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani tweets that he is thinking of retiring the shirt number 22, currently worn by Isco.

Malaga owner Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani has hinted at the retirement of the number 22 shirt, worn by potentially outgoing playmaker Isco.

Isco, who is a reported target for Real Madrid and
Manchester City, is a hero for the Andalusian fans and the club's owner took to Twitter to suggest that the number will no longer be available for any other player should Isco leave this summer.

"shirts No. 22 will not be available to any other player in the Malaga cf courtesy to the player Isco," tweeted Al-Thani.

Under Spanish Football League regulations squad numbers are not allowed to be retired, but Al-Thani can get round the rule by simply not offering the 22 shirt to any new player.
