Roberto Mancini hints at Carlos Tevez return

Roberto Mancini claims that there is "a chance" Carlos Tevez could play for Manchester City again, but only if he proves his fitness.

Roberto Mancini has revealed that there is "a chance" that Carlos Tevez could play for Manchester City again.

The Argentine issued an apology yesterday evening for his conduct over the past few months, having refused to warm up and then deciding to return to his homeland without the club's consent.

However, Mancini has claimed that he may pull on the blue shirt once more if he can prove his fitness.

"I'm happy with what Carlos said," said Mancini. "Tomorrow I will talk to him. I've accepted his apology.

"There's a chance he can play for Manchester City again. I think he needs two or three weeks to train, and some games, but if he's ready in two or three weeks, that's normal."

Tevez has insisted that he is ready to give his all for City upon his return.
