Roberto Mancini is pleased with Manchester City's victory over Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has praised his side's performance against Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.

City defeated the Swans 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to a Carlos Tevez goal, to bounce back from their 3-1 loss to Ajax in the Champions League in midweek.

"Our performance in the first half was so-so because I think we were so tired but in the second half we played better, we had a lot of chances to score," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

"In this moment, when you are in a difficult moment, after a defeat in the Champions League, it is important we start to win quickly.

"We played three days ago and Swansea played very well. They were fresh, so it was important to take these three points."

City are currently second in the league table with 21 points from nine matches, one point behind leaders Chelsea.
