Rodney Marsh: 'Sergio Aguero is having a very ordinary time'

Rodney Marsh believes that Sergio Aguero is having an "ordinary" season for Manchester City and also feels that the team needs to be rebuilt.

Rodney Marsh has claimed that Sergio Aguero is having an "ordinary time" for Manchester City this season.

The former Citizens forward also feels that the club need to rebuild their team following their exit from the Champions League, while their recent inconsistent form in the Premier League has seen them slip six points behind leaders Chelsea.

Marsh feels that the current squad have performed below-par across the board during the campaign, including Aguero despite his 23 goals in all competitions this season.

He told The Mirror: "I think in fact that City have to rebuild the team, not only in a couple of positions, but across the whole team.

"I think [Eliaquim] Mangala has been a terrible signing. He's shown nothing so far. Fernandinho and Fernando, for me, are not top quality Premier League players.

"Aguero is having a very ordinary time, [Stevan] Jovetic will soon be off, [Samir] Nasri and [Jesus] Navas too, all for me, by their standards, have had very poor seasons."

Manuel Pellegrini's future at City is reportedly under threat due to the club's lack of silverware this season.
