James Milner refuses to sulk on bench

James Milner reveals that he will not complain about his recent minor role for Manchester City.

James Milner has claimed that he will not complain to Roberto Mancini about his recent absences from the Manchester City starting lineup.

The England international has been used sparingly by Mancini in the second half of this season but insists that team results are the important thing for the club.

Milner told The Mirror: "It's frustrating, because you want to play every game.

"But the manager picks the team and all you can do is play as well as you can in training - and in games when you're given the chance.

"We've got a great squad of players and competition is high for places, but the most important thing is winning matches.

"It's not about individuals. As long as we're winning, that's the important thing. I'll keep working hard and contribute as much as I can."

Manchester City are currently second in the Premier League.
