Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has had his say on Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas after his continued absence from the Spanish side.
Casillas is yet to start a La Liga game this season, with Diego Lopez being preferred between the sticks..
Pellegrini told Marca: "I find his situation at Madrid a strange one. I know Diego Lopez is a great keeper. I had him when I was at Villarreal and he was superb for us.
"Casillas would do well anywhere, no league is too challenging for Iker Casillas. He has been a regular at Madrid for 12-14 years."
City have had their own problems with goalkeepers this season, with Joe Hart dropped for a few months earlier in the season following a dip in form.
