Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that he is not concerned that local rivals Manchester United are currently at the top of the Premier League table.
The former English champions were dislodged from the number one spot last weekend when they suffered a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
City had a blistering start to the season by winning five games in a row, but back-to-back defeats have put them one point adrift of Louis van Gaal's side.
"We are not thinking about who is top of the table," Pellegrini said in this afternoon's press conference. "All we are thinking about is a good performance and being top of the table in May at the end of the season. It's important not to drop more points at home."
City will take on Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
