Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell has expressed his eagerness to impress his next manager after his strong end to the season.
The 22-year-old netted a brace in the 3-2 defeat to Norwich City on Sunday before receiving a call-up to Roy Hodgson's England squad on Monday.
Rodwell has now set his sights on catching the eye of the new boss following Roberto Mancini's sacking last week.
"It's all about the future now," Rodwell told Sky Sports News.
"Obviously a new manager will come in and everyone is intrigued to see who that is going to be. It's a fresh start for everyone and we will all be on it.
"First game of next season everyone will be flying, and we will do our best to prove ourselves to the manager."
Rodwell joined City for £12m from Everton last summer.
