Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz has revealed that he is eager to find a new club that resides within the North West area.
The 30-year-old is expected to leave the Premier League champions following a difficult stint with the club.
While the Paraguayan had recently hinted that a switch to Queens Park Rangers could be on the cards, the forward has claimed that he would prefer to stay in the North West of England.
"My conditioning is good, I feel fit and just want to play now," Santa Cruz told the Manchester Evening News. "A north west club would be ideal. I don't want to keep moving my kids back and forth, it is not good to move them year after year."
The frontman is currently training the the City reserves at Carrington to maintain his fitness.
