Carlos Tevez has reportedly defied Manchester City bosses by not returning from Argentina for training.
The former City skipper was ordered to be at training today but he remains in Argentina, according to The Sun.
Tevez was denied permission to take time off for the international break because of concerns over the striker's fitness.
"Carlos returned from his recent trip to Argentina and was not match fit," said a club spokesman.
"The coaches devised a training plan to return him to full fitness.
"Carlos is part way through that plan. He is due to resume training on Wednesday morning at Carrington following a rest day on Tuesday."
Tevez was due to train with players who have not featured much for City this season, but flew to Buenos Aires on Monday.
Yesterday, Tevez accepted a fine handed down by City for refusing to warm up during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich.
