Carlos Tevez has declared that he left Manchester City to join Juventus because he harbours ambitions to win the Champions League.
The Argentina international said that the club's lofty targets for the coming season influenced his decision.
"Four years ago, I chose to move to City because of the targets they were aiming for," The Sun quotes Tevez as saying.
"I wanted to play in the Champions League and help the team win a league title after a long gap. I've noted the same ambitions at Juventus.
"They want to keep finishing first in Italy, as they've done over the past two years, and aspire to win the Champions League. This made my decision easier."
Tevez has been handed the famous number 10 shirt, worn by Michel Platini, Roberto Baggio and Alessandro Del Piero, at Juventus.
