Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta expects to return to first-team action in two weeks.

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta will return to action in two weeks after suffering a thigh injury in the 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

The Argentine, 27, suffered the knock after 20 minutes, but he has revealed on his Twitter page that the problem is not too serious.

"Hello everyone! The scan on my thigh injury shows a small grade 2 tear to my rectus femoris. 2 weeks out, hope back well soon!" he tweeted.

Zabaleta joined City from Espanyol in 2008.
