Sports Mole previews Premier League champions Manchester City's match with injury-hit Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.

Champions Manchester City make the short trip to Wigan Athletic on Wednesday as the only unbeaten team in the Premier League.

A 0-0 draw at Chelsea on Sunday was City's 13th match without defeat since the start of the season, but despite this, they are still not top of the table.

Full-back Gael Clichy is likely to miss out on the DW Stadium clash as he continues to suffer with an ankle injury, while fellow defender Vincent Kompany could be rested due to a recent knee concern.

Mario Balotelli returned to Citizens action at Stamford Bridge and could be in line for a start should Roberto Mancini opt to shuffle his striking options.

Wigan midfielder Ben Watson faces a long spell on the sidelines after breaking his leg in the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool, while Ivan Ramis and Shaun Maloney will also miss the fixture for the injury-hit Latics.

Antonin Alcaraz, Gary Caldwell, Ryo Miyaichi, and Albert Crusat are also unavailable, but Roberto Martinez will be able to call upon Jordi Gomez, who netted a hat-trick in the 3-2 victory over Reading on Saturday.

Recent form:

Wigan: WLLWW
Man City: DWWDW

Possible lineups:

Wigan: Al Habsi; Stam, Boyce, Lopez, Figueroa, Beausejour; McArthur, McCarthy, Jones; Gomez; Kone

Man City: Hart; Zabaleta, Toure, Nastasic, Kolorov; Barry, Garcia; Silva, Yaya Toure, Tevez, Balotelli

Sports Mole says: 0-2
