Team News: Manchester City start without striker, Saido Berahino returns for West Brom

Manchester City face West Bromwich Albion without a recognised striker, while the Baggies call upon the services of Saido Berahino to lead the line for them once more.

Manchester City will begin their Boxing Day game at West Bromwich Albion without a recognised striker in their starting XI, although Stevan Jovetic has returned to the bench following a spell on the sidelines.

James Milner will lead the line again in the absence of Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko, as he did in Saturday's 3-0 triumph over Crystal Palace.

Manuel Pellegrini has made three changes to his side though, with both Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy returning in the full-back positions, while Fernando has replaced his fellow countryman Fernandinho.

The hosts have made just two changes from the side that saw a two-goal lead slip in a 3-2 capitulation at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Youssef Mulumbu has taken the place of the injured Graham Dorrans in midfield, while Saido Berahino makes his first league start since December 2.

West Brom: Foster, Wisdom, Lescott, McAuley, Pocognoli, Mulumbu, Gardner, Morrison, Varela, Sessegnon, Berahino
Subs: Myhill, Gamboa, Dawson, Baird, Yacob, Brunt, Ideye

Manchester City: Hart, Sagna, Mangala, Demichelis, Clichy, Fernando, Toure, Navas, Silva, Nasri, Milner
Subs: Caballero, Boyata, Zabaleta, Fernandinho, Kolarov, Lampard, Jovetic
